Adding a natural flow to your event
“What makes an experience genuinely satisfying
is a state of consciousness called flow. ”
Successful moderation requires:
a clear event goal,
a feel for the subject matter and the attending public, and
a weaving together of all program elements into a coherent whole, with depth and impact.
We have experience with moderating international events around themes as Work, Security, Leadership, Giftedness, HR and Social-, Organizational- & Personal Development. A small sampling of events moderated over the years:
Budapest (2019)
A symposium on Violence at work with well over 120 participants. This was a very dynamic program to moderate with panel discussion, press conference, keynote speech, expert sessions and interaction with the public using the Slido app, all this with six interpreters translating the event.
“Your performance as a moderator has been highly appreciated. Especially your professionalism and smart style of fulfilling the difficult excercise of moderation.
A special thanks for enthusiasm dedicated before the event and commitment demonstrated during and after.”
Budapest (2019)
Moderation starts well before the event with assisting the creation of a coherent program with the right speakers. After-care is equally important. A good moderator makes speakers feel comfortable and lets them shine. Such as here with the mayor of Budapest Gergely Karácsony.
Brussels (2019)
A two-day event on The Future of Work from the Bertelsmann Foundation and CESI.
The upcoming edition of the Summer Days on the Future of Work will be moderated by us.
“Dirk Anton impresses with his likable manner and above all with his empathy. He knows exactly how to pick-up everyone in the auditorium where he or she stands; an ability not everyone is given.
I’m always happy to work with Dirk Anton.”
Kopenhagen (2016)
An international two-day symposium from the CESI Europe Academy on Health and Safety at Work. A very specialized topic with knowledgeable speakers and participants. Summarizing, distilling the important insights while keeping the program with international speakers on schedule, were key moderation tasks.
Madrid (2019) on violence at work.
A symposium on Third party violence against public sector workers. The variety of speakers, from victims telling about personal experiences, to experts and trade union officials, required a sensitive approach to moderation.
