Who we are

Better Leadership. was founded as a response to the many societal challenges we are facing in the early ‘20’s. We are:

Dirk Anton van Mulligen

Dirk Anton is a Dutch business economist with specializations in management, innovation, business psychology and organizational science. He has been working for more than 22 years as a strategy & leadership consultant and executive advisor to senior management. Dirk Anton was head-lecturer of the Master ‘Stress Management & Organizational Health’ and a board member of the Benelux-chapter of the International Forum for Organizational Health. For 7 years he was chairman of the jury of the IFOH Award. He works internationally and is fluent in English and German.

A defining moment for Dirk Anton was witnessing the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The harmonious reunification of people with shared hopes for a better future, created a lasting impression. This motivated him to dedicate himself to better leadership, healthier organizations and the development of gifted individuals.

To support the transformation of people and organizations, he has developed the Innovative Leadership assessment: a developmental instrument that helps clients evolve personally and professionally. It provides insight on creative talents, developmental impulses and drive to innovate. Available in 3 languages, it's especially suited for the highly gifted, career developers and innovators.

Kim Castenmiller

Kim Castenmiller.jpg

Kim is a organizational psychologist, specialized in personal-, team- and business transformation and dealing with organizational stress and overcoming trauma. She started her career in the banking- and insurance industry where she fulfilled several (project) positions within the Organizational and HR discipline.

She started her own company in 2007, from which she helped a lot of clients with organizational transformation, leadership and talent development. In 2009 and 2012 she published her first two books.

When Kim started working, she frequently asked herself ‘am I crazy or is the rest?’. Twenty years later she now knows that she wasn’t. A lot of systems are functioning for materialistic ends without a sense of purpose or humaneness. They crave maturity and leadership.

Kim’s fast thinking helps her to quickly see the dynamics in a situation and teams. Her personality helps to create breakthroughs, frequently at deep personal levels. Her sharpness and mirroring skills don’t let people escape from what should be seen. With sensitivity, a great sense of humor and an equally great execution power. Her clients praise her because she knows how to get results.
